Jack White is set to be a very busy man in 2014. He has confirmed not only new tracks from his own solo project, but also from his two bands; The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.
With the sophomore solo record being 20-25 tracks, it is also known that the same range of sounds and influences heard in every inch of Blunderbuss will be back in full force, with backup bands The Peacocks and The Buzzards still very much in the fold also.
The Raconteurs, who last released a record in 2008, and The Dead Weather, who were last heard in 2010, both have also confirmed that new music has been recorded for both projects, yet no telltale sign of when these will be released, however as this was heard last year and The Dead Weather are streaming a single from their new album, it could be very very soon.
The most recent update from the quiet Jack was that two albums are definitely being released this year, with one being finished this very month, teasing more with his producer credits being added to at least one of the offerings.
While press for Jack has not been exactly favourable this year, what with an ugly divorce battle gone public, it’s sure to say the man is throwing himself into his music and fingers crossed that it’s not too far off when we can reap the benefits.
