It feels like the Nashville native Lolo has sprung up from nowhere, with one of her first notable appearances on the radar being on Panic! At The Disco’s latest single ‘Miss Jackson’. The mysterious singer’s appearance may be short lived, but perfectly demonstrates what Lolo does best: diverse infectious melodies.

Working with Mark Batson, who is most famous for his work on Eminem’s ‘Relapse’ album, the first glimpse of Lolo’s solo work was ‘Weapon For Saturday’, which felt fit for a James Bond theme. The cinematic piece showcased diverse elements of different genres with trip-hop drums and some hints of rap in her vocal delivery.

However, ‘Year Round Summer Of Love’ strays away from this and somehow blends hip-hop with a White Stripes-esque beat, all weaved around an anthemic chorus. Perfect for those long summer nights.

‘Year Round Summer Of Love’ can be streamed below and will be released October 21st, with an album hopefully to follow in 2014. Like Lolo on Facebook and follow her on Twitter for future announcements!
