A band that should be on your musical radar for 2015 are The DuBarrys. Originating from Brighton, Chich, Rax, Alex and Dylan are bringing us ambient melodies teamed with indie-pop vocals and an underlying 70s rock sound; a really refreshing treat for the ears, steering away from today’s heavily EDM-driven charts.
If you listen to their four-track EP, it won’t come as a surprise that their musical influences come from the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd. They recently supported the fantastic indie-popper King Charles and have played at the prestigious Isle of Wight Festival, turning heads and proving themselves as an engaging live act.
Already gaining recognition from BBC Radio 6 Music and XFM, these guys are being compared to alt-indie chart toppers Alt-J and Local Natives, and are set to make an impact on the music world in a similar way.
Keep an eye out for The DuBarrys, festival season 2015 could be their big breakthrough!
