Twenty One Pilots kick off their 2nd UK tour in just over three months here in Leeds. Aside from a few extra lighting equipment, including a lit back panel that changed to link with each song through the set, their stage remains unchanged from the last time they were here. Even the setlist remains in similar standing. However there was the addition of ‘Not Today’, played for the first time ever live which was something really special. Fans were however left without the medley that was played prior to the UK run in mainland Europe, which would have been a chance to hear older tracks live that have since dropped off the setlist. There was a snippet of ‘House Of Gold’ and despite it being 30 seconds it was welcomed loudly.
Whether you are seeing them for the first time or the 10th, Twenty One Pilots have an incredible understanding and respect for everyone that turns up to their shows – announcing at the end of the set ‘we are Twenty One Pilots and so are you’. The experience is vastly different every time and for every fan. From hip hop beats to sweet ukulele sounds Twenty One Pilots blew the roof off yet another venue on their constant travels and it would be a shame for anyone to miss the next time this band hit the UK.
