New Years Day have released a brand new video for their song ‘Shut Up’. The track is the lead single from the band’s most recent album ‘Unbreakable’, which was released April 26th via Century Media.

The video, which was heavily inspired by the movie ‘American Psycho’, is the perfect dark visual for the harder parts of the song. The video even includes the original axe from the American Psycho movie.

On the music video, vocalist Ash Costello states: “When we recorded the song ‘Shut Up’ I knew right then and there, on that day, straight away, what I wanted to do if we were ever to make a music video for it. It came to me immediately. So when the time came and ‘Shut Up’ was chosen for a music video, I was thrilled because it meant that I’d get to make my vision come to life, which was to recreate one of my favorite horror movies of all time, ‘American Psycho’”

New Years Day are currently on tour across the US and are heading to the UK with Halestorm in November. You can watch the video for ‘Shut Up’ below.
