In electronic music, there’s always so much scope for a crossover into another genre, and producer-singer-songwriter Sapphire Adizes executes his crossover in a way far from typical. It’s not just one mixed with another or even a combination of a handful – it’s something entirely new, self-described as “present music”, and there’s not a term that could accurately describe it better.

Putting his spin on Donna Missal‘s standout summer heater Keep Lying (which you can check out above), he stays true to the anthemic elements but puts the production into electronic hyperdrive. With all the gritty adolescence of hard rock procured by the guitar-like synth work, the pristine production and boundary-pushing elements of bass music and a true understanding of the potential of his creative talents to push the original into outer space, Sapphire Adizes is worth every second.
