The elusive 19 year-old upstart AWE returns with ‘Crystals’, a song filled with energy and euphoria.

This is his second release past his debut Eagle Soul EP that was available last year via Plasitician’s Terrorhythm label, after Plastician’s interest was twigged when AWE was just 17. Plastician seems to have an ear for greatness, with his label pioneering the new “future beats” or “purple” sounds that has been gaining a great deal of attention as of late.

Pulling influence from the likes of Joker, Rustie, Hudson Mohawke, Gemmy, Swindle, Krystal Klear and Flying Lotus, AWE continues to astound and evolve with ‘Crystals’, which pushes the boundaries of his already diverse and eclectic sounds to another level.

The release also includes remix from Djemba Djemba, via his Nightcore remix, and in an interview with Do Androids Dance, AWE suggested that a collaborative release between the two could be on the cards for the future.

AWE has high hopes for 2014, with plans to write as much new music as possible, with potential for a tour some time later this year.

‘Crystals’ is available now on iTunes via Terrorhythm Recordings.
